This website is run by Fly Fishing Balkan, the specialist fly-fishing division of Be In Balkan.

Trip requests
When you send the "Tell us how you want to fish" form, we receive:
- your name and email address
- the country you are interested in, when and for how long, the techniques you tick and your experience level
- anything you write in the message box
We use this only to reply to you and plan your trip. The website sends your request to our team as an email, with your address set as the reply address. The email also shows when the request was sent and from which page. The website does not keep a copy of trip requests in its database.
Reviews
When you send a review, we receive your name as you want it shown, your email address, the country you fished, the month (if you give it), your star rating, your review and your consent to publication.
Reviews are stored in our database and are not published straight away. We read every review first. If we approve it, the review, rating, name, country and month appear on this website. Your email address is never published; we only use it if we need to contact you about your review. Our team also receives an email with the full review, including your email address.
Reviews we decide not to publish are kept in the database, marked as rejected, so the decision can be reviewed later. To have your review corrected or removed, contact us (see below).
Protecting the forms from abuse
To stop automated spam, each form uses a short-lived security token and a hidden field that people do not see. We also limit how many times a form can be sent from one IP address in a short period. For this, your IP address is counted against a 10- to 30-minute window and held only in the server's memory. It is not written to the database, to emails or to the server log. The log records technical results, such as whether a submission was accepted and which fields failed a check, but not what you typed.
Cookies
Visiting this website does not set any cookies, and we use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
The only cookie is a strictly necessary sign-in cookie for the site administrator who approves reviews. It is set only after signing in, cannot be read by page scripts, and expires after 12 hours or when the administrator signs out. A matching session record, holding a one-way fingerprint of the session code and its expiry time, is kept in our database. It is removed at sign-out, and expired records are cleared the next time the administrator signs in.
Services we use
Pages, images and fonts are all served from this website's own server; your browser does not contact other companies when you visit.
Form emails are sent through an email (SMTP) provider, and reviews are stored in the site's database.

How long we keep information
