Before you pack
The essentials. Your guide takes care of the local details.
Licence and rules: sorted with your guide
No need to arrange anything before you arrive. Once you get in touch, your local guide sorts out your fishing licence and explains the rules for the water you'll fish.
Getting there
Prishtina, Tirana, Podgorica, Sarajevo and Skopje all have international airports. Your guide can meet you on arrival, and for multi-country trips we plan the route and border crossings with you.
Gear basics
A 9 ft #4–#5 rod covers most trout and grayling water. Bring breathable waders, good wading boots and polarised glasses. Your guide advises on local fly patterns before you travel.
Seasons
Spring and early autumn are prime for trout and grayling. In high summer, early mornings and evenings fish best. Your guide confirms open-season dates for each river.
Fishing and culture
Combine the river with mountain villages, local food and wine, monasteries, historic towns and hiking. Tell us what you enjoy and we build it into the days.
